THE TASTE OF OTHERS

THE TASTE OF OTHERS

Three Star Books, in collaboration with CFAlive, is pleased to present THE TASTE OF OTHERS, an exhibition of books, works and multiples stemming from the diverse activities undertaken by the Parisian publishing house since its inception in 2007.

The exhibition takes its title from the eponymous book by Maurizio Cattelan published by Three Star Books in 2011.

A wallpaper created by Jonathan Monk covers most of the gallery serving as a background for the exhibition and is dotted with works by Tauba Auerbach, Elvire Bonduelle, Maurizio Cattelan, Simon Starling and Monk himself. Inspired by Monk’s "Exhibit Model Detail with Additional Information" collage series, the wallpaper revisits three of Three Star Books’s exhibitions organized in 2022 in Athens, Paris and Tokyo.

A selection of books by John Armleder, Elvire Bonduelle, Maurizio Cattelan, Raffaella della Olga, Simon Fujiwara, Gabriel Kuri, Matt Mullican, Ebecho Muslimova and Simon Starling provides a central spine to the exhibition, offering a wider understanding of the publisher’s activity in the production and promotion of artist’s books.

The exhibition will also premiere twenty-four works from “The Golden Toad”, a new series of Typed Paintings by Raffaella della Olga, created specifically for this show. Alongside the series, the artist's project for Three Star Books: LINE UP will also be exhibited.
